We live in the Anthropocene—the geological period acknowledging Homo sapiens' influence on Earth's land and climate. In a time of such contestation and contrasts, the human figure plays an ambiguous role: Fetishised yet abstracted, emerging from created space and merging back into it. In Pakistan, a country where privilege, desire, conformity and space are hotly debated, this series muses on the links between where we come from and where we might take ourselves.
This series is a response to the architectural works of Naheed Mashooqullah.
